Network identity
Native SOL, wrapped SOL on an EVM chain and tokens bridged into Solana are distinct assets. The selected route determines the address and fee rules.
Address rules
Solana uses base58 wallet addresses rather than EVM 0x addresses. Tokens on Solana share the wallet ecosystem but still require the correct token account support.
Fee mechanism
SOL pays transaction fees on Solana. A wallet sending a Solana token such as USDT or USDC generally needs a small SOL balance.
Main safety check
Do not send native SOL to an Ethereum or BNB Smart Chain address, even if a token with the SOL ticker is visible there.
NETWORKS TO DISTINGUISH
