How a wallet-to-wallet crypto exchange works

Swapario coordinates a specific exchange order between a source wallet and a destination wallet. The user keeps a private tracker instead of maintaining a customer account or platform balance.

Choose the route before comparing the quote

A usable quote begins with four precise values: the asset and network being sent, and the asset and network being received. USDT on TRON and USDT on Ethereum are separate inputs even though both display USDT. The live provider estimate then reflects current availability, rate type, amount limits and the selected payout route.

  • Select the source network that actually holds the balance.
  • Select a payout network supported by the receiving wallet.
  • Review rate type, estimate, minimum and expiry together.

Provide public wallet details, never wallet secrets

The destination address tells the provider where to send the payout. The refund address provides a compatible return route when an eligible exchange cannot complete. Some custodial destinations also provide a memo or tag. These are public routing details; a seed phrase or private key is never required.

  • Destination address: selected payout asset and network.
  • Refund address: original deposit asset and network.
  • Memo or tag: only when the receiving service supplies one.

Create one order and fund only its new deposit address

The order screen contains the address, amount, network and any extra identifier expected for that transaction. Compare them with the wallet send screen before broadcasting. Do not reuse an address from an earlier exchange or send a second payment because the first transaction has not appeared immediately.

  • Verify the address on a trusted hardware-wallet screen when available.
  • Leave enough native asset for the source-wallet network fee.
  • Save the private tracking link before leaving the order.

Follow detection, confirmations, conversion and payout

A source wallet can say sent immediately after broadcast. The provider can still be waiting for detection or blockchain confirmations. Once accepted, the order moves through conversion and payout. A destination transaction hash proves broadcast on the receiving network, while the destination wallet can still wait for its own confirmations.

  • Waiting: check the source hash, address and actual network.
  • Confirming: the provider detected the deposit and needs block depth.
  • Sending: verify the payout hash on the destination explorer.

Questions about this reference

Does Swapario hold an ongoing customer balance?

The normal flow is order-specific and wallet to wallet. The provider handles the deposit during execution, but Swapario does not present an ongoing exchange-account balance for later withdrawal.

Why are both destination and refund addresses needed?

They serve different networks and outcomes: the destination receives the converted asset, while an eligible refund returns the original asset.

Can I cancel a blockchain transfer?

A confirmed transfer is generally irreversible. Stop before sending if any asset, network, address, amount or tag is uncertain.

What replaces an account dashboard?

The private tracking link shows the order stages and is the reference to retain for support or recovery.
