Classic XRP Ledger addresses commonly begin with r. Some wallets or services use an X-address format that can encode a destination tag.
Fee mechanism
XRP Ledger transaction fees are paid in XRP. The receiving account can also have ledger reserve requirements controlled by the wallet or service.

A correct address with a missing or wrong destination tag can credit the wrong internal account or require manual recovery.

Can I omit the tag for my own XRP wallet?+
A self-custody wallet may not require one, but the destination instructions are authoritative. Never invent a tag.
Is XRP on BNB Smart Chain native XRP?+
No. It is a token representation and must not be sent to a native XRP Ledger deposit route.
