Address rules
Ethereum and many EVM networks use 0x addresses. The same-looking address can exist on several chains, so verify the network label rather than the format alone.
Fee mechanism
Native Ethereum transactions use ETH for gas. Layer-2 networks also charge fees in ETH, but they settle on their own network route.
Main safety check
Do not treat ETH on Base, Arbitrum, Optimism or BNB Smart Chain as native Ethereum-mainnet ETH during the deposit step.

Is an Ethereum 0x address enough to identify the network?+
No. Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism and BNB Smart Chain can all use 0x addresses. The network selection must match on both sides.
What pays the Ethereum network fee?+
Native ETH pays gas on Ethereum and many Ethereum layer-2 networks. The amount required depends on the sending wallet and current network conditions.
Is WETH the same as ETH for a payout?+
No. WETH is a tokenized representation used by smart contracts. Select it only if the destination and route explicitly request WETH.
