TRON network guide for TRX and USDT TRC-20
TRON uses native TRX for network resources and hosts TRC-20 tokens such as USDT. A TRON address normally begins with T and is not an Ethereum-style 0x destination.

Network identity
TRX is the native asset of TRON. TRC-20 assets are smart-contract tokens recorded on the same network. Holding USDT TRC-20 does not mean the wallet automatically has TRX for its next transaction.
Address rules
User-facing TRON addresses commonly begin with T. Copy the address from a wallet or service that explicitly labels the deposit as TRON or TRC-20. An ERC-20 0x address is a different route.
Fee mechanism
TRON uses bandwidth and energy resources. Accounts can obtain resources through network mechanisms, while wallets may burn or deduct TRX when resources are insufficient. The actual wallet send screen is the fee source of truth.
Settlement
TRON blocks and confirmations are usually fast, but an exchange still needs deposit detection, its confirmation threshold, conversion and payout. A confirmed wallet transfer is only one stage.
Memo or tag
TRC-20 transfers generally route through the address and token contract. Some custodial flows can ask for additional account details; copy only values explicitly provided by the receiver.
Tokens and representations
TRX and USDT TRC-20 are different assets. TRX pays network costs and can be exchanged itself; USDT is a token contract balance. TRX represented on BNB Smart Chain is also a separate route.

What usually goes wrong
A frequent failure is selecting USDT ERC-20 at the destination while sending USDT TRC-20 because both balances show USDT. Another is leaving no TRX available to broadcast the token transfer.

Follow both legs of the route
For USDT TRC-20 to USDT ERC-20, the source deposit is a TRON T-address and the payout is an Ethereum 0x address. The exchange performs the network conversion; a direct wallet transfer cannot change chains.

Can a TRON address receive native TRX and TRC-20 tokens?
A compatible TRON account can hold both, but a receiving service must support the exact asset being deposited.
Can I send USDT TRC-20 directly to Ethereum?
No. Use an explicit cross-network exchange route with a TRON deposit and Ethereum payout.
